Join Mieko Aoki and Julia Siporin for another monthly bird walk at Mt. Pisgah Arboretum intended for people with all levels of birding experience. We’ll use vocalizations, habitat, and behavior clues for identification of our year-round and winter residents. At this time of year, we are saying farewell to many bird friends who are heading out on their annual migration while welcoming others back to wnte with us.

6-Week Nature-Based Mindfulness Course: May 4 - June 15, 2025
Our whole being needs time to unwind and deeply connect with the natural world, to attune to our senses, and rekindle an intimate connection with the many expressions of life on this beautiful earth.
Over the course of six Sundays on the grounds of Mt. Pisgah, we will practice a variety of guided nature-based meditations while sitting, meandering, and lying down that you can practice anywhere (no previous meditation experience is necessary), there will be time for rich discussions with one another as well as some solo time.
Each session will include brief talks on topics like mindfulness in nature, embodiment and receptivity, curiosity, opening the portal of the heart, impermanence, interconnection with all Life, gratitude, and reciprocity.
